I woke up the next morning laying next to Randy, regretting my decisions. I came to the bar to meet someone new, not fall into his bullshit again. I quickly hopped in the shower and threw my clothes back on. Just when I thought I was sneaking out of the hotel room, Randy stirred awake.

“You sneaking off on me before I can treat you to breakfast?” Randy sat up in the bed.

“Hell yeah! If Leilani wouldn’t have left me at the bar, I promise I would not have ended up in your bed. Nobody got time for you and all the bitches that come with you.” I exited the hotel room and made a beeline for the elevator before Randy could catch up to me.

Randy was my high school sweetheart, and I had been stupid for him for years before I woke the hell up and got on. But I couldn’t lie, his head was A1, so I didn’t mind doubling back last night. However, I wasn’t trying to rekindle those flames and fall back into his games. The elevator opened up and I quickly stepped inside. I saw a hand appear between the doors and I rolled my eyes thinking it was Randy, but I relaxed when I realized it wasn’t him. I pulled my phone out and texted Leilani.

Me: You made it home safely?

Leilani: Yes, I have been home. I see your car still ain’t home (eggplant emoji).

Me: (smirking face emoji)

I felt eyes peering over my shoulder and I whipped my head around to meet the man who was all in my damn phone.

“Damn nosey ass nigga. Do I know you?” I sassed.

“My bad. I couldn’t say for sure whether or not you were Leilani’s friend or not. But I see you texting her,” he replied.

“Ummmmmmmmmmm okay,” I side eye his nosey ass. I would have to help Leilani pick the dude the next time we go out because this nigga was a creep.

“She ran off on me before I could get her number. Can you slide ya boy her number?” he spoke confidently, extending his phone in my direction.

DING!

The elevator door opened and I quickly hopped off the elevator, brushing past his cocky ass and his phone. I pulled my phone out to text Leilani.

Me: I was just on the elevator with that dude you left with last night. His nosey ass was all up in my phone. He asked for your number but I brushed past his ass.

Leilani: Good. I am so embarrassed. (monkey covering his eyes emoji) I was a real hoe last night. (woman cartwheeling emoji)

Me: Niggas do that kind of shit everyday B.

I giggled to myself after I sent that last text.

“So what she say? I know that was her you was just texting.”

I thought I ditched his ass on the elevator but obviously I did not.

“She said hell no you can’t have her number,” I handed the valet attendant my ticket. “Now stop being so damn thirsty.”

“Alright, slick mouf. I was letting you get your shit off because I wanted her number.
